Another season in the books and the San Jose Sharks are the pacific division champs for the fourth straight year. Even with that title, the Sharks are going to have to proven they once again belong among the elite teams in the NHL because of how they have performed in the playoffs over the past couple of years. The people in San Jose have been accustomed to cruising into the Stanley Cup playoffs but have been disappointed almost every year with an early exit other than last year. This year is no different and time is running out on the core of this team.
Round one for the Sharks starts off at HP Pavilion on Thursday night against the Los Angeles Kings. Jumbo Joe, Patty, and crew should have no problem taking care of the Kings in this seven game series. Look for their recent success over the past month or so to continue as one of the hottest teams in the NHL. I predict the Sharks to take the series in five games.
